Joanne & family, My heart breaks for you all with the loss of Leonard. Growing up, all the love & laughter & stories shared with you all when you got together with Mom & Dad & all of us children of both families was so special. Leonard always had a special twinkle in his eyes as he laughed. Thank you for sharing part of him with me growing up. I will cherish this time always. Leonard was just that much older than I that I did not know him as well as I do now after reading his wonderful tribute. My most recent memory goes back to 2002 when he graciously opened the old Fonau house for Garnet, Helgi, and I after Elsie Eyjolffson passed away. I remember too, that back in the 70's and early 80's when my parents hooked my daughter Paula up with Michelle for "play dates". Best wishe to Leonard's family. I am so sorry for your loss! We always loved when we were able to share a visit and listen to all his stories and jokes! He will be missed by all that knew and loved him! Rest in peace Leonard!
