Celebrating The Life Of

Carole Third

Carole passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on July 31, 2024 at the age of 75 years.

Carole was born on September 22, 1948 to Egbert and Edna Linford, in Lestock, SK.  Carole grew up in Raymore and  attended Raymore school. During these years she was active in many sports such as softball, volleyball and curling, winning many championships. Following high school Carole joined the workforce in Regina.

In February of 1968, Carole met Geordie at a curling rink and by November 23, 1968, they were married. They lived in Raymore for a few months before moving to the Third homestead north of town. In 1972 they moved to a new farmyard and built a house. Carole would enjoy her garden, helping farm, raising 3 boys and watching them play hockey. Carole’s door was always open for friends and family for a coffee or happy hour. Carole had a special place in her heart for her seven grandchildren. She enjoyed travelling to watch their many sports and activities. It was during these later years that she would enjoy Stan’s companionship in many of these excursions.

Carole was predeceased by her: husband Geordie Third; parents Egbert and Edna Linford; brother Dennis Linford and parents-in-law George and Martha Third.

Carole leaves to mourn her: loving partner Stan Mountstephen; three sons, Owen (Melissa) and their children Tristan and Ayden; Kim (Denean) and his children Georgia, Charles and Oliver; Ward (Callie) and their children Oaklen and Aislinn; sisters Nola Okell, Linda (Lorne) Holterman; brothers Walter (Lil) Linford, Barry (Doreen) Linford; brothers-in-law Gordon Third, Don (Darlene) Third; sister-in-law Marg Third as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude and appreciation to Dr. Alibhai and the doctors and nursing staff at the Pasqua Palliative Care Unit in Regina, SK.
