Obituary of David Ewen
In Loving Memory Of David Ewen
(husband to Agnes Ewen)
David Allen Ewen, the son of Rosalie (Allen) and Cecil Ewen, was born on May 6, 1949, in Kelvington.
David completed his schooling at Kelvington High School. He was not afraid of work and worked his entire life. After leaving school, he took on many jobs between British Columbia and Manitoba, including farming, gyprocking, diamond drilling, and working for the CN.
In 1973 David married Agnes McDonald. They settled on a farm North of Kelvington where they had three children: Lesley, Andrea, and Kris. David farmed with his dad, Cecil, and his brother, Ross and during the winters for the first few years, he went gyprocking. David was a grain farmer and also had a small herd of cattle. He went on to farm on his own with his son, Kris. David later sold his herd when he turned 70.
David was predeceased by his parents, Rosalie and Cecil.
Left to cherish his memory are his: wife of 52 years, Agnes; children Lesley (Gord), Andrea (Scott), and Kris (Lacey); 9 grandchildren Callie (Cody), Ayden, Dawson, Karston, Deklan, Hunter, Marrin, Ava, and Rhys; one great-grandchild Henry, siblings Heather, Holly, and Ross, as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
