Celebrating The Life Of Donny Morman
Donald Robert Morman was born January 14, 1954 on a farm outside of Kelvington, Saskatchewan.
Don was the youngest of four children born to Lloyd and Stephanie Morman. After his father's passing two years later, the family moved to Nora, Saskatchewan and his mother taught school outside Nora in the Bradgate District.
Don and his older siblings Phil, Doug and Janet made strong friendships with the immediate neighbours and Don attended school at Bradgate, then after it's closing he attended Nora and Archerwill schools.
Don had an incredible talent for anything mechanical and he loved farm life. He began his working career at Archerwill Co-op setting up farm machinery and then graduated to a mechanic's helper. It was then apparent he had a talent, so he became a mechanic at the Archerwill Co-op and eventually Sharp's Automotive. Don also worked in the Diamond Drilling industry briefly, but he realized he loved to be at home more than away. Don and his good friend and neighbour Tom owned and operated a sewage company but after buying the Archerwill school in 1989, renovating it with Suzy, Kevin and many good friends, he started an automotive repair and towing company for 28 years until it's closing in 2017.
By this time, Don's love was the farm more than anything. He bought and operated several pieces of equipment to improve his and Kevin's land. It was not work anymore, he enjoyed picking stones, roots , digging and burying rocks while seeing improvement for all of his hard work.
Don leaves to mourn his passing: his wife Susan, son Kevin, daughter in law Joni, granddaughters Ava, Isla, and Clara; as well as his brother Doug and sister Janet.
He is predeceased by his: mother Stephanie Taylor, step father Raymond Taylor and his brother Phil Morman. Also sharing his loss are his: mother in law Kassie Budz, sister's in law Barb (David) Chalmers, Lori (Rick) Rohne, Sandy (Robert) Wilson, Connie (Michael) Kohlen and numerous nieces and nephews, friends and neighbours.
