In Loving Memory Of Mervin Young

Mervin Allan Young was born on July 5, 1962 in Somme District, SK and he said he was born in the bush to parents Teresa Young and Fred Cheekinew.

Mervin was a hunter, fisherman and an advocate for the community and the youth. He loved to be outdoors from early in the morning and he always felt connected to the land. Mervin held his culture and traditions close to his heart. He felt a great importance to pass this on to his children and grandchildren. Mervin took them for their first successful kill and was very proud of this.

Mervin leaves to mourn his passing his children: Tisa Kayseas, Dakota Sexsmith, Jesse Sexsmith; grandchildren: Payton Kayseas, Cameron Kayseas, Elijah Kayseas; and brother Steven Wayne Young. 

Mervin was predeceased by: his parents, his daughter Cheyenne Nippi; his siblings: James, William, Patrick, and Veronica.
