Celebrating The Life Of Sheldon Popowich
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sheldon Roy Popowich, beloved son, brother, father, grandpapa/papa and friend on May 27, 2025.
Sheldon was born on August 13, 1962 to Bill and Liz Popowich in Kelvington, SK. He started his early childhood education by getting into shenanigans with his older brother Chris and they became built in best friends. Sheldon then served time at Kelvington Elementary and High School, graduating in 1980.
A few different careers in a few different locations along with raising a family followed, before circling back to his hometown of Kelvington where he was employed until the time of his passing.
Spending fun times with great friends and family was paramount. He had a terrific sense of humor and was an awesome cook. Sheldon had numerous hobbies and interests including, but not limited to, fishing, playing one of his favorite guitars, snowmobiling and flying radio controlled aircraft. The greatest of his passions though was hitting the highway on one of his beloved Harley’s; an accomplishment he was so proud of and that gave him such joy.
Sheldon is survived by: his father, Bill Popowich; his brother Chris (Trish); his children Selah, Brandon (Charity) and Brian (Sam); his cherished grandchildren Anthony, Tristan, Ryder, Ava, Lily, Damien, Lexie, Nevayah, Launie and Aidan; and his dear friend Gail. He was predeceased by his treasured mother, Elizabeth in 2013.
