In Loving Memory Of Walter Karapita

It is with great sadness that the family of Walter Karapita annnounce his passing Sunday, July 6, 2025 at the age of 93 years. Walter was born to Peter & Margaret (Federko) Karapita September 19, 1931 in the West Bend district. Walter was the third oldest in the family of seven - Hazel, Elizabeth, Walter, Alice, Edwin, Adele, & Gerald. He lived on the farm with mom and dad helping with all the duties that go along with living on the farm. In 1975 Peter & Margaret built a house in Foam Lake where they retired. Walter joined them in Foam Lake. He was kept busy in town looking after the yard and garden. Walter always had his regular runs down town for mail, groceries or a cup of coffee. Once dad and mom passed away, Walter remained living on his own. He then moved to the Tiger Lily Lodge, and later on moved to the Ituna Pioneer Lodge being his last home.

Walter is survived by his: sisters Adele Pearson; Hazel Majcher; brother Edwin Karapita, as well as nieces & nephews.

Walter is predeceased by his: mom & dad - Peter & Margaret Karapita; brother Gerald; sisters Alice Hood & Elizabeth Hopko.
