In Loving Memory Of Sophie Korolchuk

Sophie Korolchuk was born on December 1, 1943 to Stanley and Stella Kopanko. Sophie passed away peacefully on August 3, 2025.

Sophie took her schooling at Robinsdale School, near Rose Valley, Sk. She then pursued her nursing career completing training in Ontario.

She enjoyed life and nursing in Vancouver. Returning home for a wedding, she met the love of her life, Martin Korolchuk and married him on July 11, 1970. To this union three children were born: Michelle, Bryan, and Roxane.

Sophie and Martin lived on the Korolchuk homestead. Together they farmed for many years.

Sophie worked beside Martin, especially enjoying hauling grain at harvest time. She and Martin enjoyed gardening, cooking, farming, fishing and many holidays together. Entertaining family and friends, playing cards and visiting - time spent together was very important to her.

Sophie was predeceased by her: husband Martin; father & mother - Stanley and Stella; brother John Kopanko; and son-in-law: Eerin Wickstrom.

Sophie is survived by her: children Michelle (Mike) Currie, Bryan (Nancy) Korolchuk, and Roxane(Tyler Soderlund) Wickstrom; grandchildren & great grandchild - Jamie Sutton & Dallas Sutton; Riley Korolchuk, Rayanne Korolchuk (Layne Kapeluck) - Wesley; Kaiden Korolchuk & Kylan Korolchuk; Kyler Wickstrom, Kiana Wickstrom, & Brenna Soderlund.
