In Loving Memory Of Connie Bashutski

Connie Lorraine Bashutski (Semesock), age 68, of Punnichy, SK passed away on August 6, 2025 in Regina, SK.

Connie was born in Vanguard, SK, on November 23, 1956, to Steve and Carmen Semesock. She attended elementary school in Glen Bain, SK for grades 1-8, and then Kincaid High School for grades 9-12. She moved to Regina, SK, where she completed her Certification of Legal Secretary and worked for a couple years. She met Mervin and they started dating in 1975. They were married on April 23, 1977 at Hodgeville St. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church. A week later they celebrated with a wedding dance at the Wishart Hall. She moved out to the farm near Punnichy with Mervin. She worked at the Lestock Hospital as an Administrative & Finance Secretary for approximately five years. Soon after they started their family, which went on to include three daughters. While raising a family, she worked as a Secretary for Dr. Sykes at the Punnichy Health Center. She spent the rest of her career known as "Mrs B", helping children at Punnichy Elementary School where she worked as an Educational Assistant. 

She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, scheduled evening summer drives with Merv, cooking, gardening, hosting a large crowd and especially watching her hummingbirds out her kitchen window. 

Connie is survived by her: loving husband Mervin; daughters, Aimee Lukash (Mark), Megan Horvath (Terence), Julie Stephanson (Adam); siblings, Paul Semesock (Sylvia), Adele Tofin (Don), Margaret Hachkewich, Carol Epp (Randy) and Jim Semesock (Coralyn); in-law siblings, Margie Ricci (Frank), Donnie Bashutski (Melanie), Kari Zemlak, Joanie Root (Brian), Larry Bashutski (Lorretta), Allen Bashutski (Janice), Karen Edison (Lyle), Mike Bashutski (Jenny), Dave Bashutski (Becky), as well as her 7 beautiful grandchildren, Chelsea (10), Josh (8), Quinn (9), Karys (7), Wren (9), Austyn (7), and Colby (4). She is predeceased by her: parents, Steve & Carmen Semesock, niece Andrea Epp, and Mervin's parents, John & Anne Bashutski, brother-in-law, Kenny Bashutski, and sister-in-law, Connie Bashutski.
