Randy Davidge passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at Wadena Hospital, surrounded by his family, after a courageous 14-month battle with cancer.

Randy was born in Regina and raised in Whitewood, Saskatchewan, where he met his high school sweetheart, Wendy Dayman. After graduating, he moved to B.C. and then to Alberta for employment. In time he reconnected with Wendy in Calgary. After a few years in Alberta, they settled in Wadena in 1977. Randy went on to dedicate 32 years to SaskTel, serving the community and surrounding areas with commitment and pride. When he was not tending to phone lines, he could often be found lending a hand on the Fisher family farm during harvest.

Family was always at the centre of Randy’s life. He never missed a chance to cheer on his children—whether at hockey games, on the baseball field, or at dance competitions. Summers at Fishing Lake were especially cherished, where he spent more than 45 seasons enjoying water sports from sunrise to sunset.

Retirement brought some of Randy’s happiest years, filled with time spent with his grandchildren, fishing, golfing, and wintering in the U.S., Mexico, and Australia. He also treasured his daily visits with friends at the local coffee row, where his quick wit and humour were always on display.

Randy leaves behind a legacy of kindness, camaraderie, and laughter. A modest man who put others first, he enriched the lives of all who knew him.

He is survived by his: wife of 53 years, Wendy; their three children Jason (Hope), Chad (Jenn), and Gillian “Gigi” (Aiden); grandchildren Jaiden (Josh) Hanson and Addison Davidge; great-grandchildren Ayla and Aycee Hanson; brother Bill (Evelyn) Davidge; brothers-in-law Donald (Linda) Dayman, Pat (Vicky) Dayman and Doug (Ruth) Dayman.

He was predeceased by his parents, Margaret and Jack Davidge of Whitewood, SK and brother-in-law Bob (Nancy) Dayman.
