Celebrating The Life Of Arthur Thompson
Arthur James (Art, Jim) Thompson, age 81, of Kelvington, SK, passed away on October 18, 2025, in Kelvington, SK.
Art was born in Prince Albert, SK to Marcel Arthur Thompson and Mary Lillian Thompson, on May 19, 1944. He joined the Air Force, and worked as a radio operator, for 23 years, in Canada and on missions in Cypress and Egypt. After retirement, Art went on to manage an apartment building and then decided to try his hand at long haul trucking (something he had always wanted to do) across Canada and the U.S. Art was a fan of the outdoors, including camping, hunting and going for motorcycle rides and travelling across Canada. Art loved being a part of the community of Kelvington, including playing Santa Claus for the lodge and driving the bus to get lodge residents to and from appointments.
Art is survived by his: children- Christine (Doug) and Ian; grandchildren- Evan, Jordan and Kathleen; siblings- Fay, Karen (Garry), Patrick (Rita), Ann (Gus), Philip (Lori) and Shawn (Pascale); as well as numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
Art is predeceased by his: parents- Marcel and Mary Thompson; his wife, Marlene; sister, Lorraine and brother, Robert.
