Obituary of Kathy Fatteicher
Celebrating The Life Of Kathy Fatteicher
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kathryn (Kathy/Katie) Fatteicher, who left us peacefully in the early morning of October 20, 2025, at the Canora Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was 70 years old.
Kathy was born on January 21, 1955, in Invermay, Saskatchewan - a community she called home for most of her life. After the passing of her father when she was 16 years old Kathy helped on the family farm south of Invermay helping raise her 5 younger brothers. In 1971 her mother remarried and in 1973 Kathy finally got a little sister. Kathy worked numerous jobs in her life time from a telephone operator, to road building to becoming a Continuing Care Aid.
Kathy married Douglas (Doug) MacLean on July 28, 1972, and together they welcomed their children Tracey and Joseph (Joey). After their separation in 1992, Kathy found love again with Terry Fatteicher, and they married on September 21, 1996. Together, they built a life on an acreage near Invermay, where they spent many years enjoying the peace of the countryside.
Kathy was a very handy person and was a Jill of all trades. There wasn’t much if anything she wasn’t willing to try. She was a great friend and would lend a helping hand when ever she could. Kathy enjoyed hunting, fishing, and doing wood work. She also loved music and often if you were over visiting, especially on a Saturday night, you would enjoy the GX94 Saturday night get together with her.
Kathy’s love for her family, especially her grandchildren, was unwavering. She cherished the time spent with them, creating lasting memories through card games, stories, and laughter. She also had a deep affection for her dogs throughout her life, and her final companion Cruze, brought her much joy. While Kathy will be greatly missed, Cruze will be lovingly cared for by her family and friends, who will ensure he is surrounded by love and affection.
Kathy’s strength, humor, and generous spirit will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and the importance of family — lessons she instilled in everyone she touched.
Kathy is predeceased by her: mother Elizabeth Irma Scramstad; father James Ernest Parsons; step-father Melvin Scramstad; her husband Terry Fatteicher; and son-in-law Cameron Fey. She leaves behind her: beloved children -TraceyLynn Fey (MacLean) and Joseph James Allen MacLean; her cherished grandchildren: Megan Fey, Natasha Tonn (Fey) and her husband Noah, Sydney Fey, Kashton MacLean, Jakob MacLean, and Dawsyn MacLean; and her devoted siblings: Rod Parsons (Donalee), Chris Parsons (Gail), Gary Parsons, Ken Parsons (Lisa), Jim Parsons (Donna), and Tammy Wallin (Sheldon) as well as numerous cherished nieces and nephews.
