In Loving Memory Of Alice Yarocki

With deep sadness, the family of Alice Yarocki announces her passing at Golden Acres Lodge in Wynyard, SK, on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at the age of 93.

Alice was born on May 27, 1932, in Wishart to Bill and Anne Chornoby. She was the 5th of 9 children. Alice had many fond memories of her life on the farm with her brothers and sisters. She attended Honeybank School.

Alice married Peter Yarocki on October 31, 1948. They were blessed with 3 children – Dennis, Kenneth, & Teresa. They farmed in Wishart until 1964 when they moved to Wynyard. Alice was employed at Crawford Foods, and worked there for 33 years. She was a very hard worker and rarely missed a day. She was involved in the Sacred Heart Church, and the UCWL that spanned 58 years, during which she was one of the first of five founding members, contributing in any way she could. Mom loved being outdoors, spending countless hours caring for her large yard, garden, and flowers. She was a very good cook, and made perogies every Friday. Bingo was great fun for her and she would go as often as she could. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

Alice was predeceased by her: son Dennis, husband Peter, brother John, sister Helen, brother Steve, sister Josie, brother Mike, and sister Mary.

Alice is survived by her: son Kenneth (Marvene), granddaughters Aleta (Davie), Amy (Alex), great grandchildren Allie, Alex, Isabella, Olivia & Emma; daughter Teresa (Sheldon), grandson Evan & great-grandson Denzel, granddaughter Jessica;  sisters Janet, and Pauline as well as extended family.
