In Loving Memory Of Otto Markowski

Otto Edward Markowski passed away peacefully at home on June 7th, 2026 at the well lived age of 91.

Otto was born December 10th, 1934 in Wadena, SK. He grew up on the family homestead and eventually took it over.

Otto did all of his schooling  at the May School located barely a mile from his home.

Otto married the love of his life Marilyn Townend May 18th, 1962 in Wadena, SK at the Saint John's Church.  They settled at the Markowski homestead to farm together and soon began raising a family. They had four children: Charlotte, Lauri, Travis and Stacey.

Otto will be lovingly remembered by his: wife of 64 years Marilyn Markowski; sister Wanda Ziola; brother Alex Markowski; children: Charlotte Krupa (Steve), Lauri Ludwig (Neil Clark), Travis Markowski (Tracy), Stacey Sykes (Allan); grandchildren: Sarah Krupa-Hill (Connor), Rianne Krupa (Dan), Kristen Bohl (Arlen), Stefan Bohl (Angela), Caitlin Smith (Colin), Riley Markowski (Brooke), Tylor Markowski (Jennifer), Mikayla Halvorson (Matt), Jessica, Kyra & Denys Sykes; and great grandchildren: Caleb & Annalia Wolkowski, Brae, Otto, Augustus & Kasey Markowski,  Jack & Claire Markowski, and Marilyn Halvorson.

Otto will also be missed by numerous other family and by friends made while farming, hunting and fishing.

Otto will be remembered for his quiet strength and his great stories.

Otto was predeceased by his: parents Julius & Anna Markowski; sisters and brother-in-laws: Martha & Arnold Young, Lydia & Paul Novak; brother-in-law Leonard Ziola; and brother and sister-in-law John & Thelma Markowski.
