Obituary of Mark Laxdal

Remembering The Life Of Mark Laxdal

Mark Andrew Laxdal of Saskatoon, SK passed away on Friday, July 24, 2026. Mark was born in Regina, SK on December 18th, 1975, to Keith and Jeanne (née Brockman) Laxdal. Growing up, his school years were filled with academics, hockey, baseball and playing the saxophone in concert and jazz ensembles. Summers were dedicated to lazy days at Greenwater Lake waterskiing, swimming, golfing, and occasional misadventure, with his parents and two brothers, Erik and Grant.

Mark met Twyla Muhr during his final year of studies at the University of Regina. After earning both a Bachelor of Computer Science and Bachelor of Administration degree, he moved to Calgary and Twyla followed shortly thereafter. They married on June 22, 2002 and later welcomed two beautiful daughters, Amy and Erica.

After 16 years of living and working in Calgary, AB, a new career opportunity brought the family back to their home province. This allowed them to be closer to Mark’s family cabin – and his happy place – at Greenwater Lake, SK.

Mark was known for giving more than 110% in everything he did. Whether he was building his corporate career, coaching youth soccer, tackling projects around the home, or preparing delicious meals to share with family and friends, Mark gave it his all.

Mark will be deeply missed and never forgotten by his family, Twyla (née Muhr), their two daughters, Amy and Erica, and their dog, Scout; parents, Keith and Jeanne Laxdal; twin brother Erik Laxdal; brother Grant (Christine) Laxdal and children Henry and Charlie; and many good friends. Mark was predeceased by his Amma, Thruda (née Gislason) Laxdal and grandparents Henry and Agnes (née Gieselman) Brockman.
