Box 1106 Wynyard, SK S0A 4T0 Clifford Clarence Kostiuk was born on October 23, 1950, in Lestock, Saskatchewan. He was the youngest child born to Nick and Olga Kostiuk. Like many children growing up in those years, chores were a daily part of his life: milking cows, feeding pigs, cleaning the barn with a horse and stone boat... the list was endless... all the while walking to Larissa school a half mile from his farm. Those daily chores instilled a love for farming in him. Cliff married Patricia Fedoryshyn in December of 1969. They lived with Nick and Olga for one year before purchasing their own farm a mile from his parents. Their children came quick: Craig, Curtis, Shari, Shane, Wayne, and Willis. When his family was young, Cliff arm wrestled competitively and played fastball with Punnichy and Mozart. When he wasn’t on the pitcher’s mound, he coached his sons’ fastball and baseball teams to Provincials for many years. When the decision was made to only have a cattle operation, Cliff bought a mobile welding truck, branching into metalwork and design. He built the ball diamonds at Wishart and Gordon’s Indian Reserve, along with the skating rink at Elfros. There was rarely a visit to Cliff’s that didn’t include a visit to his shop to see his latest projects. Cliff missed the animals and started renting out his pasture after he retired from farming. He enjoyed riding his quad out to check the cattle that were on his land. Cliff was a very social person and knew a lot of people. Many weekends were spent visiting and playing 3-spot with neighbors and friends. He also enjoyed crib, Crokinole, and snooker. He even travelled in the last few years with his partner Chris. Cliff is lovingly remembered by his children, grandchildren and great grandchild: Craig; Curtis (Kari), Jordyn (James Mackin), their daughter Eryn, Kyle (Jessi Stang) and Tenley; Shari (Bob) Antoneshyn, Alex, Alyssa, Zach, and Zane; Shane (Jenny Ganser); Wayne (Nyasha Eshelo); Willis (Tarayn Kisch), Mercedes, Maison and Mya; partner Chris Pylypuk and her family; sisters Sandra Storzuk and Betty (Len) DiNova, brother George Kostiuk; Pat Kostiuk; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Cliff was predeceased by his parents, Nick and Olga Kostiuk, sister Phyllis Bodnarchuk, and brothers-in- law Bill Bodnarchuk and Sly Storzuk.
