For those wishing to leave online condolences or sign the guestbook may do so via this website. Our beautiful Aunt Aagot was born on September 11, 1917 at home on the farm. Aagot received her education at Roscommon school and Luther College in Regina and then went to normal school in Saskatoon. She taught school at Pipestone for four years with the salary wage of forty dollars per month the first year. In 1944, she enlisted in the women's division of the Royal Canadian Navy as a Wren Sick Birth attendant and spent two years in service. In 1947, she trained for a nurse at Holy Cross Hospital in Calgary, Alberta. She received her R.N in 1950 and worked at the Central Alberta Sanatorium and District Hospital. She remained there until 1972, when her dad died in the spring. She moved home to look after her mom Eva. Aagot lived in the house that her and her mom bought in 1974, she then moved to the Kelvington Villa on October 1, 2013. She was then transferred to the long term care home in March 2014. She passed away peacefully in the Kelvington Hospital with her niece Peggy by her side. She is predeceased by her parents Olaf and Eva. Her sibling: Alf, Reider, Ethel, Borghild, Lloyd and Roal. She is survived by one brother Fred; sister-in-law Birdie of Prince George, B.C; and numerous nieces and nephews. "Aunty you are missed by all of us here. Have a great Journey Home"
