Memorial Service: Thursday, February 4, 2016 1:00 p.m. Foam Lake Community Hall Foam Lake, Saskatchewan Interment to follow at the Foam Lake Cemetery Donations in memory of Lawrence may be made to the Saskatoon Cancer Clinic - 20 Campus Drive, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, S7N 4H4 Lawrence came into this world on February 5, 1935, born to Cyril & Eileen Paproski, he was the 3rd son & grew up with 9 siblings on a farm near Lanigan, Saskatchewan. In 1960, Lawrence met & married Olga Letwenuk & the two made Foam Lake their home. To this union four daughters were born: Cindy, Michelle, Melanie & Maurie. Lawrence and Olga were married for 29 years, working together at Paproski Sand & Gravel. They were an active couple in the Foam Lake community until Olga's passing in 1989. Lawrence was “one of a kind”, in his quiet effective way, he had a positive, powerful, influence on us all. He was a voice of reason. He was devoted to his family & friends, always sharing his unconditional love & support. Lawrence lead by example, teaching his family and co-workers the importance of having an incredible work ethic, doing a good job and loving what you do. When taking a break from his work day, he enjoyed spending time at Fishing Lake & summer camping trips with his family, both of which included fishing. Lawrence enjoyed hunting locally as well as at Hudson Bay where he met Delores. In April of 1993, Lawrence married Delores Fuchs and Lawrence proudly gained a son, Frankie John. When Delores & Frankie John moved to Foam Lake, Delores began working along side Lawrence, at the Foam Lake Redi-Mix office. They enjoyed spending time together, so when they had a “day off” they would tour around the county in his Ford truck. The purpose of these tours varied from site seeing, to visiting with family & friends, or perhaps looking for the next equipment auction while occasionally stopping in at the odd garage sale, but always keeping an eye out for a new gravel pit. Lawrence semi-retired in 2013, but his heart stayed in the business. LP never missed an opportunity to check out a gravel pit, get in his loader or crush some rock. With more time on his hands, Lawrence looked forward to morning coffee at “Ford Motors” with his friends. LP was a master on the BBQ and his famous steak was well known with his family. Lawrence loved to dance & never missed a wedding or a social where he could do so. LP always lent a helping hand & could often be seen around town in his loader spreading gravel or clearing snow. Delores and Lawrence discovered Arizona & decided to trade in the Saskatchewan winters for the south. They both looked very forward to their road trips to Arizona, even after 22 years of making the long drive. Larewnce's diagnosis of cancer in 2015 forced he and Delores to abandon their usual treck to Arizona in the fall, allowing him to be closer to his doctors and treatments. His family will forever cherish the 2015 Christmas Season as they visited and enjoyed times of laughter and fun. Lawrence will be missed by his family and friends and all those that knew him.
