I still can replay our last conversation in my head like it was yesterday. We talked about your plans and the life you had been living. We talked about how you wanted to go on to be a professional mma fighter, and how you knew you had the talent to do it. We talked about how you wanted to leave the street life and go on to do great things. I truly do believe you could have done it if you had the time. I believed in you Damien. I miss you. And I will always cherish every second I got to spend with you. You mattered.

Your boy sounds like he was an amazing person. I am so sorry for your loss. My son is the same age, and Damien sounds a lot like myself at that age. I am sorry his beautiful spirit moved on so soon. Take good care of one another.

Damien came into our Muay Thai gym every class filled with such energy, enthusiasm and the desire to learn. He always came right to the front row of the class to line up and say greetings in Thai excited for what we would be doing that day. We are heartbroken that he is gone and will miss his energy

I remember the last time I saw you- I wanted to make sure you were safe but you promised me you’d be okay and you went on your way. Even though you were Kash’s friend, you were also like another family member to Manny & I. I’m going to miss your light. Thank you for the time you spent with us- talking about El Chapo & Aliens & sharing bits and pieces of your story with us. We love you. You are now surrounded with unconditional love that you were always searching for and always deserved.

I remember picking you up from Muay Thai one night and how excited you were that a professional had recognized your talents. You would not stop talking about it the entire way back. I remember you being so happy that you stuttered the entire time. It was one of the most heartwarming experiences I’ve had. Gonna miss you, bro.

It was so sad to hear you were gone, I remember when you called, it was so good to hear from you and that you were happy to be going into a new place and phase in life. You had the world at your doorstep, know you move into your next phase of life and start your journey. It was my honour to spend the little time with you.

Damien,
Where do I start? I am honored to have known you and blessed to have been your teacher. You had a smile that lit up the classroom and a sense of humour that made you shine. "The world is a little darker without you in it." You will be deeply missed! Until we meet again, Your Teacher & Friend,
Ms. Shasta Tweidt

You were always my brother, always will be. I remember every moment you were beside me and the brothers from daystars, Me, you, raen, micha, mason, and nakayle. whenever we all were together it was nothing but major love and laughs, but I didn't know those were our last times to bond I will forever cherish those memories and honour your name, you will not be forgotten and I will never let you be forgotten, One day my son is gonna know all about how happy you were to meet him and how you watch over us now from heaven with our mushoms kokums and other relatives that protect us in spirit, I was told not to cry after someone moves on to the next life so for you i'll stay strong and do whatever it takes to make you proud, you always supported me when I got my life back on track and made it known you wanted all of us to succeed and for that I will my goals of making a brand in honour of your memory, I love you brother
