She is survived by her son Morris Onyskevitch (Marilyn) Audrey Henderson, Eugene Onyskevitch (Edwina), Zoria Graham (Fred), and several grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Sophie is deceased by her husband Michael Onyskevitch, son Kenneth Onyskevitch, brothers, Stanley and Frank, sisters, Katie, Pauline, Myrtle, Veronica, Eva, and Tina. Sophie was born on the Sokul Homestead, north of Wishart, Saskatchewan. Sophie married Mike Onyskevitch in 1944. They both moved to the Onyskevitch farm, further north of Wishart, where they farmed grain, and raised livestock. Sophie enjoyed her farm animals, but mostly her garden, you could always find her there enjoying the day.
