In Loving Memory of Edward Yakimoski Edward John Yakimoski was born on July 6th, 1934 on the family farm by Lintlaw, Saskatchewan, to Pauline and Adolph Yakimoski.Ed attended school at Oxford Center and in Lintlaw.As an 18 year old teenager, he joined the Air Force Training Academy in St. Jean Quebec: then later followed by enlisting with The Canadian Army stationed in Winnipeg, Manitoba.He enjoyed the great outdoors and nature, spending time in British Columbia harvesting trees.Ed was creative and a builder which led him to work in road construction for several years.Ed found the love of his life, Deanna and they were married on June 29, 1964.A new member of the Yakimoski family arrived the following year, their son, Terry, was born on September 11, 1965.Ed had a great love for his family.He possessed many skills; he worked as a welder in Yorkton, at the Lintlaw co-op and then went into farming full-time until his retirement.Papa had a special relationship with his grandson Ryan, the two of them shared many special moments together.Deanna and Ed moved to Kelvington in 2018.Dad’s faith kept him strong.Ed passed away peacefully on January 20, 2022 with family at his bedside. Ed is survived by Deanna,his loving wife of 57 years; his son Terry; his grandson Ryan; hisbrothers, Jim (Loretta), Larry ( Gerri), and his sister-in-law, Anne, as well as many neices and nephews and extended family. Ed is predeceased by; his parents, his brother Henry; his sister Jean and his brother-in-law Stan. No funeral service will be held at this time for Ed Yakimoski. Memorial donations in Ed's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
