In Loving Memory of Oren McCoshen

Oren Mathew McCoshen was born February 11, 1989 in the Regina General Hospital to Rosemary Maximovich & Darrell McCoshen. He is one of four children. Oren’s siblings are Jess (brother) of Humboldt, Amber (sister) of Medicine Hat, and Brandon (brother) of Yorkton. Oren passed away July 2, 2022 at home in the RM of Elfros.

Oren attended elementary and his high school years were attended in Wadena, Duck Lake and then returning back to Wadena. Oren went on to attend posted secondary education for Carpentry.

Oren had one son, Damien. Damien McCoshen was Oren’s pride and joy! Oren became a very ‘proud’ father the day Damien was born. He always looked forward to any time he spent with him.

During Oren’s few short years he worked for Austring Moving, Jay’s Moving & Storage, Co-op, CIM Roofing, and carpentry as well as fixing vehicles for many.

Oren loved fishing, spending time with Damien and other family and friends. Oren was the kind of person who always wanted to help others. If he had something that someone else needed, he would do without it and give it to them. He was a strong individual, who was a very talented person with many passions. He was genuine and honest. He would find something he wanted to learn to do and he would learn it and often would master it. If something was not working he would usually be able to fix it. He enjoyed wrestling and had a real talent for drawing. He made his own tattoo gun and mastered giving tattoos.

Oren is survived by: his son Damien; his mother Rosemary Maxmovich,; dad Darrell McCoshen; grandmother Myrl McCoshen; brother Jess (Krista) and children Bryce & Sierra; sister Amber (Al) and her children Tyson, James, Broklynn; brother Brandon and his son Aison; brother Justin (Dani), as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Oren was predeceased by his: uncle David Cragg; grandparents Dave and Jean Cragg, grandfather Bev McCoshen, and Stepfather Stephan Maximovich.

Oren had a kind heart who will be missed by many.
