I worked for Steve and Margaret my first winter out of high school, wonderful people to work for. Steve always took the time to teach me different aspects of the hardware business and was a pleasure to work for. Sympathy to the Banadyga family at this sad time.

My sincere condolences to Kirk, Danny, Peggy Dawn and Perry and their families on the loss of your father. I have fond memories of my time spent with Steve and Margaret as cashier at Macleods Store. My first Job! After I left Wadena and my parents, Herb and Ann Stovern, were living in Kelowna the Banadyga family invited me to stay with them whenever I returned 'home'. I did. The friendship had begun long before that when my mother decorated their wedding cake in 1945. Steve's obituary was a moving tribute to a fine man!

Sincere sympathy for a huge loss to the Banadyga family. Steve was a generous man and a big part of the Wadena business community and beyond. HAMPAS Hardware was a great place to shop for anything. No matter whether at the store or the house or the cottage, the Banadyga family has been hospitable and welcoming. You are all a testament to Steve and Margaret and I am fortunate to have known you all throughout many years. Steve will be missed by many!

I remember Steve as a business man on Main Street Wadena as I was growing up. He and Margaret were always happy to see you in their store, greeted you warmly even as a young kid spending a dollar or two in their MacLeods store. He was a longtime backbone of the business people in Wadena and of the Kinsmen Club as well. In both roles he contributed much to the growth and sustainability of our little town. A stalwart supporter of the Rough Riders through the good and the bad years spoke to his commitment to his beloved football team and ultimately the province he loved. The charming and happy man I remember will be missed by his family and all that remember him here in Wadena
