In Loving Memory of Alma Clark
It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our
mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and cherished friend, Alma
Clark. Comforted by her sons and singing quietly to herself with
a song in her heart, Alma passed away on July 11, 2023 at the
Kelvindell Lodge, Kelvington SK, as a result of an age-related illness.
Alma was born on October 22, 1939, in Springside, SK to Clifford and Jessie Pinder. Following Teachers College in Moose Jaw, SK, her first teaching position was at the Kelvington Public School. Alma developed a love for music. She was an accomplished pianist and taught music to many students over the years. Shortly after moving to Kelvington to teach she met the love of her life, Leslie Clark. They married in August of 1961, and settled in Kelvington to raise their 3 sons, Donn, Wendel, and Kerry. Together they worked tirelessly on their farm, Clearfield Farms. Over the years, when Alma wasn’t making meals for farm hands, or racing off for tractor parts, she could be found at a rink, alongside Les, cheering on her boys or enjoying their cottage and the beauty of Greenwater Lake, where she joyfully spent every summer. She was the backbone of their family. Later in life, Alma and Les enjoyed many winters in the Grand Bahamas, stopping over in Ontario to visit their boys and get a little break from the Saskatchewan winters. Alma came to her final home at the Kelvindell Lodge, where Bingo and coffee with her friends brought her great joy.
Alma was preceded in death by her: husband Les Clark (2009); eldest son Donn Clark (2019) and brother Lyle Pinder (1994).
Alma lived her life as a devoted mother and leaves to mourn her passing: sons Wendel (Denise) Clark and Kerry (Natalie) Clark and Donn’s wife - Betty Clark. She was a loving grandmother to Jessica, Emily, Kylie, Kassidy, Kody, Cassidy and Briana. Alma was special to her nieces, nephews and a cherished friend to many. Alma also leaves to mourn her passing, her brother Leith (June) Pinder and sister- in-law Beth (Don) Scott.
Alma will be fondly remembered for her strong spirit, generous nature, love of music and her infectious smile.
Alma’s family would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses and staff at
the Kelvindell Lodge, for their unwavering care and support given to Alma.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the
Kelvindell Lodge in Alma’s honour.
