In Loving Memory of Edward Pidperyhora
Edward Stanley Pidperyhora formerly of Elfros, SK passed away peacefully on August 18, 2023, surrounded by his family at Pasqua Hospital, Regina, SK.
Edward was born on May 6, 1938 on the family farm in the R.M. of Elfros – 7-32-13 W 2 to Matt and Julia Pidperyhora. He attended school in Elfros and after completing grade 8, he was eager to start farming with his dad. While farmingEdward worked for the RMs of Wishart and Elfros as a heavy equipment operator building roads and clearing bush, eventually deciding to devote himself entirely to farm life.
In 1961, Edward married Adalice Kwasney and they lived on his father's farmyard until moving to their own farm, located four miles South of Elfros. Edward and Adalice were blessed with 5 children, Darlene, Darren, Sherry, Sheldon, and Elaine.
Due to his health, Edward retired from farming and continued to live on his farm until May 2023. He and Adalice then moved to Regina. He enjoyed spending time with his family, listening to the news and scrolling through Facebook.
Edward is survived by his: wife Adalice; children - Darlene (Brian) Stadnyk of Regina, SK, Darren Pidperyhora (Tracy Flett) of Wynyard, SK, Sherry Pidperyhora (Doug Lubzinski) of Surrey, BC, Sheldon (Donata) Pidperyhora of Sechelt, BC, and Elaine (Greg) Dutchak of Saskatoon, SK; ten grandchildren - Tyler (Carolyn) Stadnyk, Terryn Stadnyk (Zane Hagel), Nicole Pidperyhora, Megan Pidperyhora, Katelyn Pidperyhora, Abigail Dutchak, Dawson Dutchak, Regan Pidperyhora; one great grandchild Anastasia Stadnyk; brother David (Iris) Pidperyhora, sister Eugenia (Jack) Irvin, brother-in-law Ron Needham, sisters-in-law Mildred (Harold) Faye and Jeannette (Gordon) Hall. As well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Edward was predeceased by his: parents, Matt & Julia Pidperyhora; sisters - Linda Pidperyhora and Valora Needham; parents-in-law Mike and Caroline Kwasney and sister-in-law Agnes (Stanley) Kostiuk.
