Obituary

Natalie (Nat) Dunlop was born in Foam Lake, Saskatchewan to John and Mary Ostapowich on December
29, 1941. She was the fifth child in a family of seven. She took most of her schooling in the country school
of Ashdown and then later graduated from Foam Lake High School. After business college, she returned
home to Foam Lake to marry her love, Bob, on October 14, 1961.

Blessed with three children, Scot, Dean and Koree-Jean, they continued to work and live on the family
farm where Nat balanced her seasonal career as an administrative assistant with a local tax firm and
later in life; a full-time position in the Foam Lake Shamrock School division. While working in town, Nat
also fulfilled the role of head chef, baker extraordinaire, gardener supreme, canning guru, super Mom,
Grandma and Gigi as well as continuing to operate any and all farm equipment required on their beloved
‘Maple Grove Farm.’ Nat’s ability to make everyone who visited their home feel special and welcomed
was a testament to her ability to make all feel loved. Most found it hard to leave the yellow farmhouse
with the beautiful gardens, wonderful hospitality and maple treed yard. She infused beauty into
everything and everyone she touched. She was able to live and be in her home with her family shortly
before she passed away.

Nat was a creative, artistic soul and a gifted athlete. Softball, running, dancing, golfing and curling were
her sports of choice and she excelled in them all. Her belief in volunteerism and community was evident
with her contributions to supporting many community events, the local figure skating club, curling club,
artificial ice committee and her involvement with the Breast Friends.

Nat was predeceased by her parents, John (Mary)Ostapowich; their son, Dean; siblings Eli (Anne)
Ostapowich, Stevie (Laura) Ostapowich, Aven Ostapowich, Verna Comerford and sister-in-law, Patricia
Roberts, nephew and niece; Elaine (Dirk) Konigen; Brad (Pam)Roberts and grandnephew Tyler Dobko.
Nat is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Bob, their son Scot (Alanna) Dunlop and family, Jacob
(Cassi), Justine (Jordan), Ben (Sarah); daughter Koree (Brent) Moline and family, Jordhan(Jim) and
