In Loving Memory of Todd Hankewich
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Todd James Hankewich, husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. He is dearly loved and remembered by: his wife Brittany, his two children Avery and Troy, his mother Bonnie, his sister Kerri, his extended family and friends. He is predeceased by his father Jim, with whom Todd had a very special relationship and bond. Todd was born on December 4, 1990 in Regina, Saskatchewan. When Todd was 7, the Hankewich family, moved to the family farm by Script, Saskatchewan. Todd and his sister Kerri had vivid imaginations and spent a lot of time wandering around the pasture, playing Pokémon and video games. In their teenage years, they spent a lot of time cruising around, getting stuck in fields but always finding a way out. Apart from spending time with Kerri, he was always having a good time with his closest friends, including his late friend, Justin Knackstedt. As an adult, Todd enjoyed hunting, fishing, and driving around checking the crops; periodically complaining about mother nature and how she's done him wrong - but hey, that's farming.
Todd met his future wife, Brittany while on a night out with his cousin in Saskatoon. After a few years of dating long distance, Brittany moved out to be closer to him and help with the family farm. Todd had already started to renovate the house, including Brittany in a lot of the decision making. He wanted her to know it was going to be the home where they would share a life together. Todd and Brittany got married in the summer of 2018 at her family home, near Saskatoon, SK.
Todd made it very apparent that he was looking forward to having children and becoming a father. In November 2019 they welcomed their first-born Avery, and were then blessed with a second child, Troy in March 2023. Todd was an extremely devoted husband and father - anyone who met him knew how much he loved his family. Todd lit up every time he saw Avery and Troy, and enjoyed spending time with his wife and children however he could. Todd and Brittany were a team, and together they went through the good and the bad. Brittany was a devoted wife and was there by his side until the very end. Although his life was cut short, he was blessed with an incredible amount of people who loved and supported him, specifically through the hardships of these past few years. He and Brittany are eternally grateful. As Todd was such a devoted family man, there is a trust fund set up for both Avery and Troy c/o Brittany Hankewich - at the Quill Lake Credit Union Quill Lake, Saskatchewan.
