In Loving Memory of Brian Halushka

Brian Richard Halushka of Lafleche, SK passed away May 26, 2024 at the age of 63 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He passed surrounded by loved ones who will continue to cherish his memory and reflect on the many ways in which Brian enriched their lives.

Brian grew up in Foam Lake, SK and spent his professional life working within the Credit Union, first in Foam Lake, then in Kindersley and Brock, and finally at the Lafleche Credit Union from 1991-2008. He was active in the community, serving on the Lafleche town council and the Lafleche Co-op Board of Directors prior to his retirement.

Brian found joy in the simplest pleasures in life, whether it be relaxing with the daily Sudoku, making friends with and feeding a stray “Kitty”, a quick game of checkers with an online foe, or a quiet evening with friends or family with a glass of wine in hand. Everyone who met Brian will remember his quick smile and friendly personality.

Brian is survived by his mother Liz; sister Cynthia (Kelly); brother Randy (Cheryl); sister Theresa (Dany); and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Emil in 2014.
