In Loving Memory Of Paul Zazula

Paul Zazula was born to Peter and Annie (Hankewich) Zazula on June 5, 1937 in the Hendon district. He was the youngest of eight siblings.

Paul received his elementary education at a country school, Harrow Public School. He completed grade 9 and 10 by correspondence and completed grade 11 and 12 at St. Joseph College in Yorkton, SK.

Upon graduating from grade 12, Paul attended Southern Alberta School of Technology & Art in Calgary, AB. He completed a course in Heavy Duty and Diesel Mechanics.

Paul was employed by Piggott Construction in Saskatoon, SK which included working at the South Saskatchewan River Dam Project in 1960 and 1961. Due to the sudden passing of his father, he returned home and began a lifelong farming career, which Paul was dedicated to and enjoyed. In 2009, Paul began to slow down his farming operations due to ill health and Paul retired in 2013, although his heart remained in farming.

Paul was a faithful and dedicated member to The Descent of the Holy Spirit Ukrainian Catholic Church in Wadena, SK. He served as secretary, president, vice president and again as president of the Parish Council.

Paul was predeceased by: his father Peter (1962); his mother Annie (2003); siblings - Fred (1989), Katherine (Kramer) (1993), Pearl (2004), Mary Nicholat (2011), Anastasia Kirk (2013), Steven (2015) and Eunice (2022); brothers-in-law - Oris Kirk (1978), Fred Nicholat (1986), Fred Kramer (1994); nephew-in-law Lorne Winslow (2020).

Paul will be sadly missed and always remembered by his nieces - Rosemary Winslow, Celeste (Eric) Barnes, Marian (Vic) Goodman, Marguerite Kirk and Maureen (Michael) Hammer; nephews - Eugene (Valerie) Nicholat, Gerald Kirk, David Kramer and Paul Kirk as well as many extended family and close friends.

Paul's family prays that through God’s Loving Mercy he will be granted eternal peace and rest.
