In Loving Memory of Illiana Squirrel

Illiana Mary April Squirrel was born on February 29, 2004 in Saskatchewan to the late Ashley April Taniskishayinew and Kelly Squirrel.  She was a leap year baby.  When she was younger she lived in Saskatoon and then the family lived in Yellow Quill and  Swift Current where she graduated grade twelve from Maverick High School in Swift Current, Saskatchewan.  She was working hard to further her education at Saskatchewan Polytechnic, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in the Registered Nursing Program.  She was looking forward to being a nurse to care for others.  She always took the time for others.

Illiana enjoyed being with family and especially coming home to Swift Current where she looked forward to being with her younger sister Ashlyn. Iliana was adored by her classmates and had many many friends.

Illianna loved listening to all music but especially hip hop and rapp.  Lately she had started beading and proudly showed her projects to her family.

Illiana will be missed by her father Kelly Squirrel; her siblings Abigail Taniskishayinew, Xavier Taniskishayinew, Dominique Taniskishayinew, Ashlyn Taniskishayinew as well as many aunts, uncles, her grandmothers and grandfathers as well as numerous extended family and a host of friends.

Illiana was predeceased by her mother Ashley; maternal grandparents Roy Slippery, Mary Taniskishayinew and her paternal grandmother Charlotte Squirrel.
