Obituary
Roxy was born in Lanigan hospital December 25, 1968. She attended Kandahar Public School and graduated from Wynyard Composite High in 1986. After high school she took a secretarial course in Regina but eventually returned home to work in Wynyard at various jobs including childcare, till she obtained a position with Canada Post in 1995 here she remained until her retirement in 2016. In 2007, Roxy was scratched by her cat and ended up with severe infection in her left leg. As a result she lost that leg in 2014 and being confined to a wheelchair she was forced to leave her home ad home to Quill Side Place where she resided until her passing. She made many friends and a new family there – leaving a foot print on the hearts of all who lived there. Many people will remember her for her million dollar smile and her ability to listen, her caring concern for all and her positive attitude. She was an avid reader, loved to cook, do puzzles, knit and her computer gave her an opportunity to stay in touch with the world through chatting and interactive games. She will be lovingly remembered and missed by her best friend and mom Darlene; her brother and hero, Randy; sister-in-law Tara; nephew Tyler; niece Tia; special aunts and uncles Sylvia and George Bender, Sheila and Terry Doidge, Shirley and Ed McSymytz, Frank and Mari Anne Campbell. Cousins Kerri and Karli Doidge, whom she considered nieces; and special cousins Cathy Simmonds, Richard and Ron Bender, Colin and Erin Campbell. Other aunts and uncles include Valda and Art Bender, Anne and Andy Sands and numerous other cousins. Also left to remember Roxy was her little dog, Oscar and many friends. Roxy was predeceased by her dad Henry, grandparents George and Helen Bender, Harry and Ruth Campbell; special grandma Anne Campbell; and auntie Marilyn Campbell. Memorial donations in Roxy’s name may be made to Humboldt SPCA or Wynyard Kinsmen
