Funeral Service 1:00 p.m. Wynyard United Church Wynyard, Saskatchewan Eleanor Rozdeba Eleanor Rozdeba passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 1st, 2020 at Golden Acres Nursing Home. She was born on July 15th, 1930 to Arne and Vera Eyolfson. Eleanor attended school in Wynyard and then went to work with her father, Arne at the Wynyard Pharmacy. In 1952, she married Emil Rozdeba, was married for 56 years and blessed with four children: Peggy, Jeff, Rick and Nancy. Eleanor was challenged with both poor hearing and poor sight but that didn’t deter her in the least. She was a strong contributor to the Wynyard United Church Women’s groups over several decades and played a large role in the success of the church’s fall suppers, teas and bake sales and could coerce anyone into donating their time or food to help make each a success. For her efforts she was honoured as a lifetime member of the United Church. Despite her hearing loss, she enjoyed playing the piano and singing along. Her family could often hear her performing her favourite songs such as How Great Thou Art and Tennessee Waltz. She loved Christmas and not a detail was overlooked in making it a beautiful time. Starting weeks before, Eleanor would start making her famous rulapulsa and vinertarta. As Christmas drew nearer the house would fill with molasses jam-jams, mincemeat cookies and sugar cookies and by the time Christmas arrived, the house and tree were always decorated beautifully. Eleanor moved into Golden Acres in 2010 where she resided until her passing. She is lovingly remembered and will be terribly missed by her children and extended family: Peggy Larson (Garry), grandchildren, Clayton Larson (Tricia) and great grandchild Emryk, Kim Loungvisa (Tuoy), Levon, Eric , Jeff Rozdeba (Len), Rick Rozdeba (Alann) and Kyro Plaviak, and Nancy Davidowich (Charlie). She is predeceased by her husband, Emil, sister, Priscilla, brothers Lee and Greg and daughter-in-law Lauren Plaviak.
