Obituary
Donations in memory of Rosie may be made to the St. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Foam Lake, SK. Rosie was born May 19, 1925 in the Insinger district. Rosie married Nick A. Holowaty on October 26, 1946. Nick and Rosie farmed on the land located two miles south of Foam Lake until 1984 when they retired to the town of Foam Lake. They had four children Walter, David, Pearl and Yvonne. Mom enjoyed cooking, gardening, spending time with her children, grand children, and great-grandchildren. Rosie's home was always open for anyone to stop in to have a meal. Rosie was also a very social person. She enjoyed bowling and card games. She especially enjoyed visiting and attending the birthday parties of her close friends. Rosie's favourite holidays were Christmas and Easter, as of course an opportunity to do lots of cooking and preparing of meals for her family. Rosie's special activity was to phone her children, grandchildren, and great-great children on their birthdays. She remembered every birthday on their birthdays. She remembered every birthday and called without fail every year on each family member's birthday. Rosie leaves to mourn her four children: Walter and Marie (Friske) their children Jeffery (Nicole), Michelle (Mike), Kelly (Stacey) and their grandchildren Jeffery (Nicole), Michelle (Mike) Kelly (Stacey) and their grandchildren: David and Cathy (Loose): His children Ryan and Curtis; Pearl and Ron Melnechenko: Their children Clinton, Clayton (Tammy), Candyce (Mike) Cara (Jason) and their children and grandchildren; Yvonne and (Ron Peters [deceased]): Their children Gerry and Dale; sisters-in-law Elsie Timoffee, Laura Timofee, Mary Zadorozniak, Ann McArthur, and Katie Bodnar; brother-in-law, Mike Holowaty. Rosie was predeceased by her husband Nick, parents Hnat and Pearl Timoffee, Eli and Anastasia Holowaty, her brothers Julius, Bill, Tony and sister Zinnia; son-in-law, Ron Peters and brothers-in-law Peter, Bill, Metro, John, Steve, Fred Bodnar, Steve Zadorozniak, Bob McArthur, John Poberznek. Rest in peace , Mom, Grandmother, Great-grandmother!
