Left to mourn Andy’s life; his wife of 58 years, Rose; children Barry, Kelly, Kevin (Rhonda), Jason (Joyce); grandchildren; Andrew (Kaitlyn), Michael, Katlyn (their Mom, Cindy), Kelleanne, Sherrilyn, Brooke, Kade, Kristopher, Ben and Erika; brother, Eugene (Bernice); In-laws, Mac (Judy), Leonard, Cecilia, John (Judy), Valerie, Henry (Marianne), Iris (Brian), Ted, Raymond (Betty), Gloria, Brian (Darlene), William, Theresa (Raymond); numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Andy was predeceased by; parents, Michael & Anastasia Bzdel, parents-in-law, Steve & Mary Stadnyk; siblings, Sophie Riddel, Margaret (Bill) Zemlak; Olga (Joe) O’Donnel, Sonia (George) Hubelit, Lily Bzdel, Jim Bzdel; in-laws, Irene, Rudy, Alex, Darryl, Lila, Eva (Steve), Sonia (Paul). Anton (Andy) Bzdel was born on May 31, 1932 to Michael and Anastasia (Patras) Bzdel in the Wishart area. In 1933 his parents moved to the Bankend area. Andy started his schooling in Bankend and finished at St. Vladimir’s College in Roblin, Manitoba. In 1953 Andy bought land from Frank Leonard in the Emerald district. He worked in Regina during the winter months and farmed during the summer months until 1959. On September 26, 1959 Andy married Rose Stadnyk, daughter of Steve and Mary Stadnyk. There was no house on the land that Andy had bought so they lived with Andy’s parents until they bought their own house in 1960. Together, Rose and Andy had four boys – Barry, twins, Kevin & Kelly, and Jason. Andy continued to farm until 2000 when he and Rose moved to Wynyard. Andy continued to drive to the farm to help his sons and grandchildren at seeding and harvest. He also continued to plant a big garden. Andy was active in several churches, including Bankend, Wishart, and Wynyard, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Andy enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching his grandsons hockey games, three spot with Mac, Judy, Walter and Vicky. Vichnaya Pamyat! Eternal Memory!
