Obituary
Walter Fedak of Foam Lake, Sk passed away June 15, 2017 at the age of 90. It was a Special Day, because he passed away the same day his mother did June 15, 1990… 27 Years ago. Walter was born to Dmytro and Anastasia Fedak at his parents home near Parkerview, SK. The family moved two years later to the Tufnell area in 1929. Walter attended the Fountain School and then the started farming with his father at an early age. In 1956 Walter purchased his own farm. Walter married Betty (Ukrainetz) in 1960 and started their large beautiful family in 1962. They raised in Sheho for a few years, and then moved to Foam Lake where Betty worked as an RN Matron at the Nursing Home. As the Family grew to 7 children, it was time to move out of Foam Lake and to Tufnell where it was much closer to the farm.. They really enjoyed living in Tufnell for several years and had one more child to make a family of 8 Children. After living in Tufnell, the next move was for Walter & betty to build their dream home in 1082 on the farm that Walter purchased so many years ago in 1956. Walter enjoyed life to the fullest. He participated in curling, Tufnell fast ball (Coach) and so many Tufnell Sports Days, he enjoyed entertaining so many friends and relatives. Walter & Betty’s home was always open to all his brother, sisters, in0laws, nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends. The farm was a happening place from milking cows, butchering chickens, gardening, combining, and of course having a nice cold Bohemian. Walter always loved to have fun, he always had a good story to tell and perhaps a joke or two. All of his grandchildren loved visiting him on the farm. The visits to Grandpas farm were always the BEST! As Walter moved into retirement, the next move was to Foam Lake, where they purchased the home of his Mother and Father. Life in Foam Lake was a lot more relaxing… Walter got to enjoy his Grandchildren more than ever… watching all their football games, hockey, curling, dance recitals and school tournaments. He had time to meet friends for coffee every day and really enjoyed all the fine restaurants in Foam Lake. Life was very good! Walter was very proud to be blessed with 8 children, 21 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. Walter is survived by his wife Betty, Son Mark (Joan) Amy & Max Fedak; daughters, Marianne (Laverne) Matisson, Matana & Lucia Hannotate; Carla (Brad), Christopher (Kristine) Natasha & CJ Shrader, Brandon Shrader ( Brittany Pripich) and Brittany Shrader; Nancy (John), Nicole (Korby) Taylor & Jase Koshman, Jordan and Nathan Zuchkan; Patricia (Kenny) Ukrainetz, Chase, Sky & Zak Stomberg; Melissa (Kelly) Elle, Meg & Bess Massimo; Marcella (Tim LaFournaise) Kristen Fedak (Derek); and son Jeremy (Debbie), Garrett, Brenna, Kaden and Matteo Fedak.
