Uncle Joe had a special role in my life. Not being my father, he was a friend, and a supporter, in a different way than anyone else.
He was both a relative and a friend, one of the few people able to be both.
When I was younger whether I saw him at family holiday get togethers or a visit to Saskatoon , his passing is sad.
His loss, however, is filled with years of happy memories we had, and that special connection that belongs to only Uncles.
I send my deepest sympathy to my cousins and their families for their loss.
