Obituary
Judith Patricia Riddell (Newfeld) born January 8, 1947, in Estevan, Saskatchewan to parents George and Grace along it older sister Lynne. SHe spent much of her younger days in Melfort, Saskatchewan. She had many fond memories of summers at Waskesui Lake with her family, and stayed busy with swimming, fishing, piano and have fun. Eventually the family moved to Saskatoon, where she finishes high school. She has a passion for caring for others, an graduated from nursing in 1969. During her 40 year career, she cared for the young and the old from Prince Albert to Spalding. In that time she met her husband, Howard, and they married in 1975. They eventually moved to Naicam, Saskatchewan, where they would stay and have two children, Chris and Marla. Judy was never too far from her craft bag, whether it was the next knitting project, cross stitch or rock painting, she always kept herself busy with new things and fun ideas. On top of being a full time nurse, wife and mother, Judy enjoyed being active in the community and helped with meals on wheels, fundraising and making quilts, to mention a few. After hanging up her ‘Duty Shoes’, she enjoyed many sunny days at the family cabin on Emma Lake. Boat rides, fishing, walking, and enjoying grandchildren and family was where she was happiest. She will be fondly remembered by her husband Howard, children Chris (Krystal) and Marla (Stephan) and grandchildren Payton, Jena, Caitlin and Emily, along with many other friends and family.
