Obituary
Mike was born on the family farm on May 18, 1935 to John and Polly Samborski. He was the oldest of seven children. He worked on the farm until his later teens or early 20’s. He then went to work in Toronto with his younger brother Walter. He later went to work in Alberta until he was needed back home in Saskatchewan. In 1961, he met Eileen Bebault and on November 24, 1962 Eileen became his wife. They farmed the land by Fosston that we later came back to from Flin Flon, Manitoba. In 1967, Mike, Eileen and their 5 children moved to Flin Flon. Mike worked underground for HBMS. Due to a back injury, Mike moved his family back to the family farm in 1972. This move they were a family of eight. Mike farmed the land until 1983. He then became a partner in Kelvington Groceries and Meats with his daughter Linda and son-in-law Barry Bilawchuk. In 1985, he sold the store to Barry and Linda. Him and Eileen did some travelling after that. At their home in Kelvington, Mike enjoyed playing cards, tinkering in the garage, gardening and all of his flowers. In 2015, they moved to the Villa. Where he enjoyed the entertainment, Monday night bingo, Wednesday lunches and just visiting with the other residents. He resided there until his passing on June 15, 2016 at the age of 81. Mike leaves to mourn his wife Eileen of 53 years; children; Brian, Linda (Barry), Michealeen, Geraldine, Allan (Kim) and Jody (Chery); 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers; 1 sister; 1 brother-in-law; 3 sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
