Obituary
Elaine Semenuik beloved wife of the late Walter Semenuik of Sheho passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at the age of 70. Elaine was born on June 9, 1947, daughter to Steve and Eva (nee Polonich) Peesker of Tuffnell, SK. Elaine was raised on the farm south of Tuffnell. On October 9, 1964, she married her soul mate, Walter Semenuik, and were blessed with four children Sharie ( November 7, 1968), Cynthia (August 16, 1971), Bryan (May 2, 1973), and Brenda (July 10. 1979). She worked at the Central Park in Moose Jaw before moving to the family farm south of Sheho with her husband Walter. She had a passion for baking and gardening, Elaine enjoyed playing her accordion, in which they had a band named the Western Four. Elaine was also a member of the Tuffnell Jammers and was very proud of the music they played. Spending time with her children and grandchildren were very special to Elaine. In January 2017, she became a resident at the Yorkton District Nursing Home until her passing. Elaine will be sadly missed by all that knew her, and will remain cherished in our hearts forever. Elaine was predeceased by her husband Walter Semenuik in 2006; her father Steve Peesker in 1994; her mother Eva Peesker in 2010; her brother Eugene Peesker in 2016, her father-in-law Bill Semenuik (1974); her mother-in-law Mary Semenuik (2008); and her granddaughter Samantha Stanicki in 1996. Elaine leaves to cherish her memory by her children Sharie (Grant) Mydynski of Brooks, AB, Cynthia (Brian) Stanicki of Yorkton, SK, Bryan Semenuik of Kamsack, SK, Brenda (Clint) Raffard of Kamsack, along with her grandchildren: Devin (Stephanie) Stanicki of Yorkton; Natasha Stanicki of Yorkton; Megan, Morgan and Teanna Raffard of Kamsack; Amber Semenuik of Kamsack; and Ryan Semenuik of Regina, SK. Great grandchildren: Skylar and Kaylum Semenuik Halliday of Kamsack; and Milena Torres of Calgary, AB. Her brothers Morris (Debbie) Peesker of Regina, Garry (Bev) Peesker of Regina, Kenny (Debbie) Peesker of Brooks, AB, Andrew (Janine) Peesker of Regina; her sisters Darlene Peesker of Medicine Hat, AB, Sharon Peesker of Medicine Hat, AB, Shirley (Mike) Smith of Moose Jaw, SK, Joanne Wilk of Moose Jaw, Sandy Peesker of Moose Jaw, and Beverly Peesker of Manitoba; and numerous nieces and nephews.
