A Private Family Funeral Service will be held Genevieve (Jean) Morrow passed away on December 21, 2020 at the Wynyard Hospital at the age of 85. She was predeceased by her parents Paul and Anne (Bil) Bryski, her husband, Kenneth Morrow, and her two brothers Romain and Alvin. She leaves to mourn her beloved son Blair, his wife Marilyn and two granddaughters Keely and Michaela. She also leaves to mourn her brother Albert (Patti) Bryski (Winnipeg, Man.), her sisters-in-law Angela (Romain) Bryski (Winnipeg, Man.), Michele (Alvin) Bryski (Albany, N. Y.) and Eva (Jim) Morrow (Swift Current, Sask.) and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. Jean’s teaching path started when she was in grade seven and used to sub for the primary grade teacher downstairs at Wroxton School. Next came teaching catechism in country churches while she was in Sacred Heart Academy, Yorkton. Then, with no teaching certificate, she subbed at Calder High and Tupper School in Saltcoats. After graduating from Moose Jaw Teachers’ College, she taught for 35 years at Tupper, Foote (Dafoe), Copeland (Dafoe), Kandahar School and finally in Wynyard Elementary. During this time she belonged to every club available, unless it was male-only! After retiring at age 54 she spent 10 years with Sacred Heart Church in Wynyard, going to mass every day, and filling almost all roles in the church. At age 72 she retired from public life in her comfortable home, reading as much as she always wanted with her three cats to keep her company.
