Obituary
Tom was born September 3, 1946 in Foam Lake to Margaret (Narfason) and Edward (Ted) Campbell. After leaving school he worked at the mine in Esterhazy, then for Sask. Wheat Pool. He also took a welding course at STI in Moose Jaw. In 1968 he married Faye Hanson and began grain farming, raising cattle and later custom corral cleaning. In the mid 90's after selling cattle and renting out land he began custom cutting and baling working for the Alfalfa Plant at Norquay and for local farmers. After selling his haying machinery he purchased Crawler Tractors and did bushwork. He loved big game hunting and fishing but always made sure the work was done first. He also enjoyed collecting and selling John Deere 2 cylinder tractors. He had a gruff exterior and sometimes seemed intimidating but he had a big, generous heart, always willing to help. He had a quick way with words and a witty sense of humour. He always had a soft spot for animals, especially cats and loved watching birds and squirrels. When his health declined and he retired you would see him driving around checking for wildlife, crop touring, visiting with friends and farmers treating them with coffee and homemade cookies or fruitcake and probably offering advice. As his health deteriorated, he moved into the Foam Lake Jubilee Home in 2017 where he resided until his passing at the Yorkton Hospital with family at his side. He was predeceased by his parents and his sisters Joan and Norma. He leaves to mourn his passing his loving wife of 52 years, daughter Bonnie (Shawn) Tamme and their sons Brandon and Connor; Scott Kerr and his son Jake; his brothers Don Campbell and Doug (Fran) Campbell, and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and many friends.
