Funeral Prayers for the late Tony Buryniuk was held Friday January 4th at 7:00 p.m. in the Foam Lake Ukrainian Catholic Church. Funeral Mass was held on Saturday January 5th at 10:00 a.m. in the Foam Lake Ukrainian Catholic Church. Tokens of rememberance can be made to the Foam Lake new swimming pool fund. Tony, beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away the evening of December 28, 2012. He was born to Jacob and Katherine Buryniuk in Wakaw on April 7, 1926. He was predeceased by his wife Sophie, parents and brothers Metro and William. On July 24, 1952 Tony married Sophie Karakochuck in Wishart. They lived in Minerva for 7 years then moved to Foam Lake where they lived until the present. He has 2 saughters and 5 grandchiuldren. Tony was a teacher in Foam Lake from 1959 until 1981. He absolutely loved fishing and had many stories to share. His happiest years were after reitrement when he could spend the majority of the year at Tobin Lake. Tony will be greatly missed by his daughters Karen (Curtis) Hrischuk of Raleigh, North Carolina, Donna Owchar of Saskatoon, grandchildren Bethany Hrischuk, Amanda Hrischuk, Logan Hrischuk, Laura Owchar and Heather Owchar. He will also be missed by his brother Walter (Victoria) of Ottawa. Please leave online condolences for the familiy via this website.
