Helen (Volgyi) Ottman was born on September 1, 1930 to George & Elizabeth Volgyi on the family farm near Spiritwood, SK. Helen was born a twin to her brother Lois Volgyi. Helen has two sisters, Mary, who passed away in childhood and Elizabeth (the late Joe) Simon of Spititwood, SK. On April 21, 1952, Helen married Lloyd Ottman in Lloydminster, SK. Helen & Lloyd moved to Wadena in 1961. Helen was a member of the United Church. Helen worked as a Nurses Aide at the Wadena Hospital for many years. She was a lady of patience and radiated a sense of calmness. Her gorgeous smile and contagious laugh will be missed by all that knew and loved her. Helen passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Friday April 18, 2014. She courageously fought cancer for 7 months. Never complaining and politely thanking the nurses for every task they assisted her with, even in her last hours. Helen leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, Lloyd Ottman, of 3 days short of 63 years of marriage. Her two daughters, Debbie (Brian) Schultz, of Kelvington and Rhonda (Troy) Leffler, of Rose Valley. Grandchildren: Nancy (Colby) Seefried of Calgary; Timothy (Kathryn) Schultz of Saskatoon; Scott Schultz of Kelvington; Desirae Leffler of Saskatoon; Shauntel Leffler of Rose Valley; Riley Leffler of Rose Valley. Great-Grandchildren: Brydan Seefried and Linden Schultz. Helen also leaves to morn her sister Elizabeth Simon of Spiritwood. She is predeceased by her son Garry Ottman (1971), her parents George and Elizabeth Volgyi, her brother Lois Volgyi, her sister Mary Volgyi (in infancy), and her brother-in-law Joe Simon.
