Mary was born on the farm in the West Bend district where she grew up helping her parents out. In August of 1953, she married the love of her life, Steve Hopko and they continued to live in the West Bend area on the farm. They raised two children, son, Daniel and daughter, Patricia. She was predeceased by her husband Steve, parents Anne and John, brother Bill and sister Liz. She is survived by son Daniel (Elaine)(Hudson Bay), daughter Patricia (Regina), grandson Kyle (Prince Albert), granddaughter Krista (Matt)(Regina), sisters Angie (B.C), Olga (Fred Bahr)(Prince Albert), Steffie (Adam Marchuck)(Foam Lake), brother Metro (Foam Lake), nieces and nephews. She moved into Foam Lake in 1988 and then later on moved into the Foam Lake Jubilee Home in 1997 where she considered it her home and extended family. She loved cooking, baking, crocheting, being with her family and friends and going for tea. Anyone wishing to make any donations, please make it to the Memorial fund to Model Farm Church.
