Memorial Service: 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Novemeber 19, 2016 Sacred Heart Ukrainian Catholic Church Wynyard, SK Lillian (nee Katuski) Popadynetz Lillian was born February 19, 1935 on a farm in the Holar district and passed away peacefully at home on Friday, November 11, 2016. She was the eldest of eight children of Matt and Mary Katuski. Lillian met Freddie Popadynetz and they were married on October 19, 1953. They were blessed with two children – La Verne and Darlla. Grandchildren – Ryan, Lisa, Darrick, Lora and Nicole. Also two great grandchildren – Aaron and Tarkus. Her working career consisted of many years at the Wynyard 5 to $ Store, as well as at Wynyard Bakery, Central Drugs Store and the Ukrainian Hall. Being such a talented person, she could be called upon for seamstress duties, volunteer with the Sacred Heart parish, child care provider, a go to person for cooking or gardening advice. Lillian entertained family and friends with numerous hours of playing cards, providing lunch and laughter. She enjoyed talking on the phone, mailed out birthday or anniversary cards to all her relatives and friends. She left a huge impression on anyone who came in contact with her. Lillian kept herself occupied with her flower beds, sewing, cooking, cleaning, word search puzzles and to some individuals a second Mom. Lillian was predeceased by her husband Freddie in 1999; parents, Matt 2003, Mary 2008 and brother Stephen 1986. Left to cherish Lillian’s memory and celebrate her life are: son, La Verne; his children – Ryan (Tammy) their child Tarkus; Lisa (Chad) and children Griffin, Gavin, Garret; Lora and child Aaron. Lillian’s daughter, Darlla (Colin); her children – Darrick, Nicole (Steven) and Emma. Sisters – Gerry (Johnny) Kotyk, Winnie (James) Chapple, Ann (Frank) Boldt, Audrey (Orest) Bodnar, Linda (Merv) Worth and brother Daniel (Madeline) Katuski. Sister-in-law Shirley Katuski, along with many relatives, neighbors and friends.
