Memorial Service 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 26, 2017 Wynyard Ukrainian Hall Wynyard, Saskatchewan Florence May Smith June 25, 1936 – October 20, 2017 With great sadness we share the passing of our Mom, Grandma and GG. Mom’s 81 years were filled with laughter and tears, hard work and leisure. She leaves us with many cherished memories to share with our children and grandchildren. “Flossie” leaves to mourn son Dale (Dianne), daughter Cheryl (Dennis), son Darryl (Pam), son Kevin (Barb), 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and numerous friends and relatives. She was predeceased by husband Doug, sister Jean and brother Cyril. Florence spent the majority of her working career at Central Drugs in Wynyard where she treasured her connection with the community. After retirement she enjoyed her time spent volunteering with Golden Acres Auxiliary. She spent countless hours and took great pride in her flowerbeds and pots. Florence enjoyed family gatherings, casino trips, word puzzles and computer games. Florence loved crocheting and each of her grandchildren have one or more pieces to treasure. She was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed watching her Blue Jays win. She didn’t take their losses or poor playing well and was known to yell at them and turn the channel when things were going badly. In her younger years she was active with curling and “coaching” her children, especially with baseball.
