Annie was born on December 4, 1926 to Michael & Katherine Zemlak nee Hajewich. Annie was the eighth eldest child in a family of twelve children. Annie enjoyed crocheting, embroidery, gardening, cooking and baking; she never used recipes to cook and bake with, just simple, fresh ingredients. She also enjoyed watching sports, football, baseball, hockey and curling. Annie loved to be with her seven children, and her fifteen grandchildren. Her true joy was being part of her fourteen great-grandchildren’s lives; she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Annie was predeceased by; her husband, John W. Shewchuk; her parents, Michael and Katherine; brothers, Pete, Paul, Bill, Steve, Raymond, and James; sisters, Pauline Evanaski, Marie Mook, and Rose Chyz; in-laws, Wasyl and Anna Shewchuk nee Zaharia, Paul Shewchuk, Beatrice Dobranski (Shewchuk), Isobel Kostiuk (Shewchuk), Margaret Keeling (Shewchuk), Sophie Danchuk (Shewchuk) and Mary Shewchuk; son-in-law, Bert Angielski; granddaughter-in-law, Michelle Pockey. Annie leaves to mourn her passing; daughter, Verna Angielski and family; daughter, Marion (Sam) Lalach and family; daughter, Elizabeth Shewchuk and family; daughter, Margaret Borowski and family; daughter, Annette (Ralph) Horvath and family; Wes (Charolotte) Shewchuk and family; daughter, Patricia Shewchuk (Junior Thompson) and family; brother, Adam Zemlak; sister, Elsie Malinowski; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
