Olive Danchuk was born on August 30, 1927 to Nick and Sophie (Shewchuk) Danchuk on their farm in the Round Plain District. She passed away on April 15, 2013 at Golden Acres Extended care in Wynyard, Sask. Olive will be sadly missed by brothers, Bill and Mike (Olga) Danchuk; sisters, Phyllis (Victor) Malinowski and Margaret Hopkins; sister-in-law, Betty Danchuk and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Nick (1975) and Sophie (1940); brother Harold (1996); sisters Irene (1997), Beatrice (2003) and Lillian (2004); and brothers-in-law, Howard Nelson, Sandy Wolitski and Jim Hopkins. Olive was very creative and loved working with her hands; gardening, sewing, embroidery, crochet, cards, bingo and cooking as was evidenced by those who enjoyed her perogies, cabbage rolls, and fresh baked bread. She donated and gave away many of her afghans, rose tablecloths and stuffed animals to her family, friends and various events in the Wynyard/Wishart area. Olive lived, laughed, loved and was loved. May she rest in peace.
