Obituary
Lily Mary Woolrich , passed away peacefully at the age of 92, on September 20, 2021, at Quill Plains Centennial Lodge, Watson, Saskatchewan. Lily, was born on June 4, 1929, she was the second eldest child of Ludwig and Agnes Griller. Lily was born on the Chet Walker farm where Ludwig worked at the time. In the early 30’s her parents purchased the family farm 9 miles north of Quill Lake. Growing up, Lily attended the Selkirk School and helped on the family farm. Lily finished her schooling and moved to Quill Lake and started working at the local coffee shop for Gordon and Elda Cameron. In 1959, Lily married Bud Woolrich and they lived on the farm 2 miles South East of Clair. Lily and Bud had two children; Randy born February 13, 1963 and Timothy born April 10, 1968. Lily has two grandchildren, of whom she was very proud, Brayden Woolrich born on May 21, 1996 and Sierra Woolrich born November 3, 2014. Lily worked at the Coffee Shop and Camerons Ladies Wear Store for many years. She also worked for local farmers hauling grain during harvest. Lily also volunteered in the Clair and Quill Lake communities, often times, the first one to the sink to do dishes at many functions, fall suppers and occasions she attended. Lily never hesitated to bake and serve at funerals, fall suppers and other occasions. Lily was very social and loved to visit and learn about others. She spent many hours at the coffee shops in Quill Lake and surrounding towns, always finding someone she knew and could have coffee with. Lil was always welcomed at the Quill Lake Hutterite Colony where she assisted them with their jobs, such as, digging potatoes, butchering chickens or what ever was to do, she helped and they, in turn, treated her like family. Lily was predeceased by; her parents Ludwig and Agnes; her husband Bud; her brother John Griller; her sister Agnes Angebrandt as well as numerous extended family. Lily is survived by: her son Randy (Judy Robinson) Woolrich, and his son Brayden (Natalie Young) Woolrich; her son Tim Woolrich and his daughter Sierra Woolrich; her brother Eric (Irene) Griller as well as numerous nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.
