With sadness to annouce the passing of Walter Kinequon, who died August 26/12. Wake began on August 29 at 4:00 p.m. at Day Star Hall at the Day Star First Nation. Funeral was held at 12:00 p.m. at Day Star Hall, Day Star First Nation. Internment to follow the funeral at the Kinequon Family Cemetary, Day Star First Nations. Walter passed away with famikly by his side on Sunday, August 26, 2012 at the age of 53. Predeceased by his father Morris Kinequon and brother Darwin Kinequon. Walter is survived by his mother Betrice Kinequon, brothers Lloyd (Rhonda), Cameron (Sonia), Delbert (Shelia), Derek, Dennis, Verne (Maureen), Tim, Leon (Pam); sisters Lorretta, Lorraine (Richard); adopted sister Val Poitras; children Lacey, Trent, Keshay, Wenay, Sheylin; grandchildren Lebron, Bronson, Blu and; godchildren Deidre and Lonnie. He had a caring heart and a stren disposition, always getting things done in a meticulous manner. His door always open for coffee or tea and he was always there to lend a helping hand to family and friends. The family would like to thank the nursing staff of the Wynyard Hospital for their kindness and we thank you all sincerely for sharing in our sorrow; your thoughtfullness is greatly appreciated and will always be remembered.
